The smith also sitteth by the anvil,

And fighteth with the heat of the furnace,

And noise of the hammer and the anvil is ever in his ears,

And his eyes look still upon the pattern of the thing that he maketh,

He setteth his mind to finish his work,

And waitethto polish it perfectly.

We have 24 who signed up in the original thread who have not stated they have dropped out, yet only 15 here, so far...

I plan to contact a moderator and have the official drawing Monday, if no one objects. This gives everyone the weekend to finish up any loose ends. If you have a finished puukko and wish to participate in the KITH, please add your name to the list by Monday.

I can't help but notice that Chris Price is also not on the list yet... Thought he was nearly done, don't want him to miss out on the fun!

Just a heads up...

I am taking off for a week. Much needed camp time. I will be back home on the 22nd. So I won't be able to send it out until after that date.

Sorry about that but I didn't expect it to take so long for the drawing to be done.

GAH.....

I am still mad I couldnt get anything done for this before the deadline, But more mad that I couldnt get the blade geometry right then anything else and that I messed two different blades up in the process....

However those blades are now both destined to be my attempts at basic kitchen knives, I have crap kitchen knives, and the girlfriend brought another crap set into the house, so its time I started making us some good replacements for the crap we attempt to use in the kitchen, thankfully there was enough steel left on each one after my mistakes to allow them to be flat ground into paring knives.

I am still going to make a Puukko, but after all the effort I have put into making one, I think I will plan to keep it for myself as one of those " YOU CAN DO IT ! " type motivators.

Sorry for the delay, we are working on it...

I've sent PMs to everyone who signed up for the KITH in the original list who haven't showed up here, there is still time to jump in.
