Joel H Davis
This is a tanto style knife, it has a bit of a drop point to it. This is before heat... It will be polished to mirror finish I was planning on doing a traditional wrap in peracord. Geoff Keyes
It's sort of hard to tell which end is which. Is the point to the right? Going on that assumption I would change two things. 1) I would grind the other point off, unless you have a good reason for it. They tend to poke your hand. 2) I would deepen the chisel grind, maybe as much as half the width of the blade. What you have right now won't cut very well. Geoff BTW, it's paracord, as in parachute g "The worst day smithing is better than the best day working for someone else." I said that. If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly. - - -G. K. Chesterton So, just for the record: the fact that it does work still should not be taken as definitive proof that you are not crazy. Matthew Rhame
Not too bad at all. I'm assuming the pointed tip at the end of the handle is for hammer fisting someone with side or downward strikes, right? Regardless, I might suggest adding some curvature to the lower edge of the handle for a better grip, especially since it's only going to be wrapped with paracord, but other than that nice work, congrats man. + Veritas Vincit + "Failure is the mother of success" ~ Chinese proverb
