Alex Middleton
Managed to get a batch of 5" and 6" filet knives profiled and heat treated today. Most of these are for Christmas orders. I also snuck in a small bird and trout style for myself. No pics as its currently tempering.

Welsh joel
Some cleanup, and got an electric stove that was given me- moved into the shed. It'll be a heat source, and tempering oven as soon as I get a circuit breaker in that will handle it.

I can't hunt anymore so my brother hunts and I process. I processed 11 last season. Well I burned my foot really badly right before opening day of rifle season so I wasn't able to get my boot on. Now it's late firearms season for doe and I shot this nice sized doe last night right before dark. I shot her with my 6.5 grendel at 250+ yards.

Joshua States
I spent some time forging on some bars for other projects. From the bottom up: A billet for ladder pattern, Started as 20+ layers and this is after the first 4x stack, A 3/4" square hunk of 1095, A twisted low layer bar for some dagger fittings, and two bars of W-pattern drawn out and ready for the first stack. “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. Garry Keown
A friend on another forum asked --- Garry do you make Viking knives and axes? Loving a chalenge and making something new I found a design I really liked with a 10 1/4 inch blade and bought in a 30 layer bar of carbon damascus but decided to make one first from 1075 to prove the design before using the expensive damascus. I decided to get it up to being past the heat treat danger area before posting as I ground it closer to finish than normal to hopefully show the hamon but grinding that thin can warp badly so waited to check that first but it is straight and ready for finish grind on blade and tang. A number of new things with this one so love the continuing chalenges this brings to the table. 2 Von Gruff http://www.vongruffknives.com/ The ability to do comes with doing. Gary LT
I hear ya Alex! This is “bassackerts”, (southern term), trying to fit the action into a handle first. Ugly yes, but stout and action is good. Trying to get better!! GT "I Never Met A Knife I Didn't Like", (Will Rogers)

Gary LT
It’s challenging fun Alan, different as your designing everything around the antler piece chosen. Getting the blade snap/action took time, as I made many drawings and did a dummy first. I’ve done a couple friction folders using antler and will try some primitive “top locks” as well, but for I want to focus on different types of slips.
