Forging Handle Fixtures

Recommended Posts

For years I always hesitated to forge my fittings but recently I've had a lot of fun doing it. It certainly allows you to do a lot of things that would be near impossible otherwise. Here's my latest made from some 300 layer random pattern Damascus.

After I finished forging & grinding this one, I did the final shaping with an oxy/acet torch.

I didn't get photos of all the steps of making this one as that's hard to do in a one-man shop. Hopefully you can get an idea of how this one came together.

This is the first time that I've made this D-Guard. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Gary
