Fine Pattern Welded Blade with Mokume and African Blackwood

Hands down one of my favorite projects I have made. Small and functional, beautiful steel that can be appreciated far away as well as up close. The spacer is mokume with fine lines of copper, silver, and bronze. African Blackwood handle with a very smooth matte finish.

I remember similar shivs by Don Fogg. I loved them so much that as I could not afford one, I asked local blade smith to make me pattern wielded replica. It was really nicely to handle it, but after time it went out of my collection, exactly for the reason it was special purpose knife, which I rarely used. Yours is reminding me of his, mentioning this with intention of compliment here.

Thank you for the kind words Niaro and Tom. Don Fogg is a fantastic maker and I far from mind having my work compared to his.

Tom, I can see the spider, but you are losing me at the dragon ;-) Lots to be found in pattern welded steel :-)
