New kitchen knife - still learning

Recommended Posts

Below is the new kitchen knife i just finished up. I have been a mad man trying to finish up two VERY strange wedding bands (pics will be posted when they are done) this knife and another. The last kitchen knife I made I left too thick so I ground all of the layers off of it. This time, I hammered it too thin and got some residual decarb and some flux-pits stuck in the final product. Feel like Goldilocks with these kitchen knives, but I will get there. This was actually too wide for my platten, so I think an equipment upgrade might be in order :-P

Blade: Damascus san-mai with 1084 core.

Habaki: Copper

Handle: Red oak with bokote frame. Copper pins.
