Brian Myers 121
Just a bit of a teaser. Still need some finish on the handle. It's made with 1084 with scales of eucalyptus with brass pinnings. Still needs a oil rub and a protective top coat. It's got an 800 grit satin rubbed finish on the blade. Let's call the Tennessee Toothpick lol.
Brian Myers 121
It'll take a lot before I ever work with eucalyptus again! This stuff is dense! I've seen seasoned hickory that works easier than this. Luckily the oil for the finish does penetrate lol. It'll take a lot of damage to screw this wood up.
Brian Myers 121
Well my Toothpick is done lol. 1084 with oil-rubbed eucalyptus scales. I don't have the material for a sheath so I have to apologize for that. Based on what I've observed during HT and temper, it should have a Rockwell hardness close to sixty, so it'll stand a lot of abuse. I hope this is acceptable for the KITH. If not it'll serve well as a shop knife.
Brian Myers 121
Oh, and it's just a hair over four inches overall.
