It's a bit over eight inches, 1/8 thick 1084. Bird's eye maple with homemade black denim micarta liners. Feels dang good in the hand. The maple did fight me a bit and wanted to burn, but I eased it to a smooth clear finish.

Beautiful blade.  I use Japanese carving rasps and bastard files to shape my handles.  More control than a grinder and not much slower and it doesn't burn the wood.  I found that out with Osage Orange.
