Seax in pacific yew

I was happy to pick up one of George Ezell's blades a little while ago and finally got everything put together.  

BL 6.5", OAL 11.5".  Handle is pacific yew with bronze and deer.

That yew looks delicious, did you do anything to darken it?  The yew I have seemed lighter.  Regardless, it really makes my day to see one of my blades dressed so well, I love what you've done here.

Thanks everyone!  George I cut this yew when it was pretty sappy, cool blood red at the time of cutting, and it dried out dark.  Here's a better shot:
