Geoff Keyes
I was starting to think that I had forgotten how. This is an example of how nice it is to have another set of eyes in the house. I got this done and didn't like it, the handle is about a 1/4 to 1/2 an inch too small for my hands. I showed it to the Lady Wife and she really likes it. I guess not everyone has troll hands . OL 11.5" BL 7.25 Steel 1084 Guard forged mild steel, fire blued, copper spacer Handle stabilized walnut burl, NS pins, bone spacer It's a dainty little thing, but it fought me tooth and claw, it drew blood at least twice and had at least 4 handles on it. 1 "The worst day smithing is better than the best day working for someone else." Joshua States
Good to see you back in the saddle! “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. Chris C-S
I'm sure it was intentional, but I like the cross formed by the pins. Something about it suits the OA style. Well done.
Kevin Colwell
good to see you getting your hand back in. that guard is really sweet. I like the handle pins, too. Very cool stuff. please visit my website http://www.professorsforge.com/ “Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth. Geoff Keyes
Thanks, guys. It has been more of a struggle than I expected, coming back from shoulder surgery. I can hammer, a bit, but the fine skills on the finish bench have atrophied. The Lady Wife calls it simple, but elegant, which is like me, except no calls me elegant . She also says that it has a real sticky feel (as in "I want to stick something"). The guard is simple but has nice flow, I'm working my way into a big full knuckle bow bowie, which should be a challenge. And yes, the cross was intentional, but thanks for noticing. C Craft
Yes you did Geoff! I like it! It reminds me of an Arkansas Toothpick! Two thumbs up! C Craft Customs ~~~ With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down ! If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner! ~~~ C Craft

Austin_Lyles
Yessir, Geoff, I do believe you've got a beautiful knife there. The walnut is perfect, and the shape overall is very pleasing to the eye.
Geoff Keyes
I got a few better pictures. I unearthed my photo booth and shot there.
