Steve Nowacki
Hi Gents This Bowie has a blade from W-1, a full flat grind, blade length is 260mm, blade thickness is 6mm on the spine, the blade width is 43mm and the overall length of the knife including the pommel nut is 395mm. The gun blued S-shaped hand guard has a vine and thorns filed along either edge and clam shells on each end. There are three brass coined spacers with the gun blued bolster, which has a filed centre groove and tram lines around either edge. The Sambar stag handle has a gun blued butt cap filed to match the flutes in the antler and is held in place with a gun blued pommel nut. The sheath is of a Mexican loop style dyed mahogany brown with a python skin inlay on the front panel of the sheath. I hope you like it, thank you for taking the time to look. All comments and critique very welcome. Wes Detrick
Damn Steve, that is a fine looking knife. I REALLY like that a lot. Your leatherwork is exceptional as well. Excellent work my friend! Did you use a cold or hot blue for the guard and buttcap material? “In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer." -Albert Camus http://www.krakenforge.net/
Steve Nowacki
Hi Wes, Thanks for your comments buddy they're always very much appreciated. I used a cold blue on the steel fittings, I always use Phillips professional cold blue cut 3 to 1 with water. Steve

Joshua States
Exceptional work Steve. Really top-o-the line work there.Love those clam shells. “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.” The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing. Kevin Colwell
what they all said! that is one fine knife. The shape of the guard is unique and cool. I love the way the blade looks. the blackening, too! please visit my website http://www.professorsforge.com/ “Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth. I said then and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it; while there is a criminal element, I am of it; while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.” E. V.
