Introduction and Split Frame

Recommended Posts

Hello folks.

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Mark Bartlett. I'm a bladesmith in Southern Middle Tennessee. I've been making knives for about three years and since I started I've always taken step by step pictures. It has evolved into what some say are helpful WIP posts on facebook and IG. I wanted an outlet outside of those two to post some work in progress threads and bladesmithsforum was recommended to me. Bear with me as I work kinda slow, but I promise unless I die an untimely death, I'll get through it. Here's a few pics of the last one I finished. A first of its kind split frame takedown Bowie. All fasteners are hidden. W2, Bog Oak, Wrought, and Copper. Thanks for looking. I'll be posting some WIP stuff shortly.

Welcome to the forum!  That's a beautiful knife, I love the way you've combined the contrasting materials of the frame.
