I can't find a tool

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know where I can get a fullering tool? I know about the trick about grinding a fuller, but I would preferr the anvil based tool for the job. I've loooked on Amazon a few other places, but so far nothing.

That's one of those things you have to make yourself.

One of the most enjoyable things about blade smithing  is building what you need.

You can also get the guillotine type tools on eBay. I have heard that they can be used for fullering. I have one, and I use it regularly for setting the step downs on tangs and such, but I have not been able to forge fullers with it without making a terrible mess of them.
