Hard to say from here, but that looks like a little delamination on that pointy bit.  And is that black blotch on the file steel really there?  Might be severe decarb/cottage cheese if so.  Otherwise, the rest looks like it stuck, so that's success by any measure!

That little delamination part I don't really care about cause it's just the mild that rolled over and I grinded it off the knife already. 

And are you talking about the black spot in the middle of the cutoff bit? I stuck it in some ferric chloride mixture to see the layers and just rubbed most for the black off until I saw the difference.

They hide in file steel like freaking microscopic Easter eggs. (Or landmines depending on the mood)

How one of my first knives with a "noob grind" (sabre grind) ended up with a high bevel and a lot of distal taper.
