Karl B. Andersen
I got a little tangled up in making a couple Cowboy Bowies - one for a customer and one for the Arkansaw Knife Show coming in a few weeks to Little Rock. Both of the Bowies have Transition Damascus blades. The first one with some highly figured Walnut and the second one with Koa. Both have hot-blued fittings and are built take down. The last one is a San-mai hunter.
Brian Dougherty
Stunning as ever! I have also enjoyed your latest videos on how the cowboy bowies go together. Thank you for posting those! Is the san-mai blade 410/1084 mix? Edited February 5, 2018 by Brian Dougherty -Brian

Charles dP
Very nice Karl. That damascus is something else. I love the blade/bevel transition. Wes Detrick
Man those are beautiful knives! I love the way that the transition looks with the darker woods like that. Collin Miller
Awesome work! I dig that san mai. The carbon migration makes it look really organic and flowy. “If you trust in yourself. . . believe in your dreams. . . and follow your star. . . you will still get beaten by the people who have spent their time working hard and learning things, the people who weren't so lazy.” ~ Terry Pratchett
JeffM
Karl your work never ceases to amaze me...especially that last bowie and the one with the san mai...absolutely amazing starting with a san mai billet so thick...how long does it take you to grind and profile a blade like that??? C Craft
Simple elegance , flawless work as always Karl!!! Two thumbs up!! C Craft Customs ~~~ With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down ! If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner! ~~~ C Craft
