Discussion with "The Boss"

Recommended Posts

We are planning on selling the house and moving in the next couple of months, Today we were having a discussion with a good friend who is also a general contractor (he used to work for me) and a real estate agent. The discussion entered the realm of "Josh won't throw anything away" and the following is a short excerpt:

Liz: Do you really need 4 barrels of charcoal?

Me: I worked really hard to make that charcoal. I can get rid of the charcoal, but that means I have to build a smelting furnace in the back yard.

Liz: No! you are not building a smelter!

Me: Then I guess we are moving the charcoal. I will build the smelting furnace at the new house.

Liz: aaaaaaahhrrrgh

Yeah but you always wind up needing what you threw away last week.

If she can have a cabinet full of dishes that never get used, and 13 throw pillows, then I don't see why a man can't have a perfectly useful smelter AND 3 Barrels of charcoal.....

Wait, isn't your wife an artisan blacksmith?

I mean it's charcoal...  ...I don't understand the confusion...

...than again, my wife gave up on me years ago :P

Mrs. P. was easily sold on the fact that charcoal can be used for BBQ.
