What did you all use to cut uncoated inswool?

I usually set all the wool in the chamber and through the hole you are going to stick the burner in i use a large knife and support the wool from the inside and just poke the knife through (without stabbing your hand) then i just use my fingers and spread the wool out. So in actuality i dont really remove wool i just open it up.

I used scissors... Seemed to work just fine, just poked them thru and snipped till i had a relatively round hole.
