A san mai hunter knife with  1095 core and old wrought iron sides..

Bolster is stainless nad haldle is African Blackwood with stainless pins...

Also this is my very first attempt at complex handle (hidden to full tang..)

Looks good! The san mai is centered up good, I like the pin placement, grind seems consistent, nice job on the guard too!

My only critique is with that big ricasso. A bit of webbing between the handle and guard would have been a nice touch.

Looking good I like the overall design.  Question on the hidden to full tang conversion how are the two separate pieces connected....are you spot welding the two parts or does the frame around the hidden tang simply float being capped in places by the handle scales???

This has been on my bucket list to try Just haven't gone there yet

 I have seen sooo many Jerry Fisk's Centeros lately...That big ricasso keep coming and coming in my dreams :D

Well, your knife really does look very close to his "sendero"! Forget I said anything. :)
