Thought fer the day, / add yours if you like

Recommended Posts

Just a randomized thought but I'm thinking to myself todays going to be a good day to forge.  Got a break in between rain systems so its going to be dry.  Sadly my other torch head was busted so I had to get a new one this morning.  But yep as soon as it warms up more outside I'm going to go light the forge.  I gotta try out these new tongs.  So I thought  I think I'll do some forging today lol.

I have to disagree with that . Better save money for stuff you will need than have a bunch of unused tools and empty pockets.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

I asked my Master, "You teach me how to fight, yet you speak of peace. Why is this?"

He replied "It is better to be a warrior in a garden, then a gardener in war."

(Dont remember where i heard this one...)

If you ever DECIDE to get a tattoo.  MAKE SURE, it's in an APPROPRIATE place and POSITIVELY make sure it's something you want.  (Learned that lesson the hard way I'm going through tattoo removal.)

Lmao yep one of those young and dumb kind of things lol.  And no I’m not going through laser treatment getting it removed with a needle so not as bad but still pretty painful lol.  How ever none the less it’s still an interesting experience.

I have given up all planning ahead. I get uncomfortable with the way they use the word "premeditation" in courtrooms.

When told by a reluctant customer  "I don't need another knife.",  I usually reply   "The only knife that you need is the one next to your fork on the dinner table.  The rest are wants.";)

A man without a sword may also speak of peace, but he must do so quickly...................;)

I worked alone today... I got stuck inside my head. Sometimes it gets interesting.

I need to lose weight...Some have bigger issues. You ever go all day hungry and whatever you finally eat tastes amazing? Ever wonder how a bowl of rice must taste after going hungry for a week? Does the thought of that make you lose your appetite?

If you knew you'd die tomorrow; would you be satisfied with what you did yesterday? Did you act in passion or pride? Perhaps the proud ought to be ashamed and maybe the shameful have something to be proud of after all... Just like a man who claims he is wise is foolish and a foolish man who knows it has some wisdom.

Someone said "no one lives on an island". I wonder if we're lost at sea... Riding a current; making wakes. Looking back, did you help anyone who was drowning? Did you help anyone drown? If you had a chance to make it right; would you change your course? And if you made it out alive, to an island; could you live with yourself, or drown just the same?

Just saw this, no worries sir.

"Brain flatulence" gave me a good laugh :D.

Another for the list:

Artists use lies to tell the truth, while politicians use them to cover the truth up.

This is a really cool thread. Years ago, when life started getting REALLY busy, i found myself reminding myself this: if you feel your thoughts sliding over to the lazy area, dont listen to them. Its kept me out of trouble.

Ego is the anaethesia that numbs the pain of stupidity, pride is the burden of a fool.
