rosewood

Recommended Posts

It's going to depend on the species of rosewood I would recommend that you sand to the finest grit that you can then raise the grain with a spray of water and knock that back with some steel wool.  After that just coat with some past wax and buff.  Most of your rosewoods won't take oil.  They're full of it on their own.

Be careful and use a respirator when working with rosewood. Also limit the exposure of bare skin. The dust, because of the oils in it is irritating and some people can be more sensitive than others. It is rough to find out you are one of the sensitive people if you didnt protect yourself.
