Damascus kitchen knife

Recommended Posts

Made this knife for my nephew Anders , who married his lovely Isabella last saturday.  Twist damascus, G10 and stabilized elm. Matching leather sheath ....Did not really know if I could match the sheath with the wood ....but if I had failed I would have colored the sheath black to cover the failed attempt.

Very nice knife, and extremely impressive leather dying! That's a scabbard that really does complete the piece. Very cool.

That is a pretty knife and sheath!  Like everyone said, that is impressive leather dying.  The whole knife is a great package.

I am usually not overly impressed with kitchen knives but this one spoke to me!! The Damascus pattern, the wood and the choice of materials for the ferule, (if that is the correct term for a kitchen knife) are all spot on and complimentary to each other!!

When I saw the sheath, to say I was amazed seems woefully lacking! I am absolutely stunned at the sheath. Would love to learn more about the staining of the sheath!! You nailed that combination!! Hat tip.jpg

I am a huge fan of the kitchen knife.  I find them an art of their own.  And your knife and sheath combination are just stunningly gorgeous.  Very well done.
