Wish me luck

Recommended Posts

Heading in for back surgery I was hoping everyone would wish me luck...hopefully I won't need it but just in case.

As long as you've got a doctor I don't think luck will be needed.  Just a good recovery and lots of high strength pain killers.

Thanks everyone!!! I'm in recovery right now but it looks like I will be here for a few days. The have a drain in my spine right now so I can't leave till that's out.

Glad you are in recovery!  By the way, your spine probably isn't the only place you have a drain right now ;)

Glad to hear it went well.  Did you come down to Grand Rapids to get it done?

I'm in muskegon. I will be here for 2 to 4 days. At least until the drain comes out. I'm not exactly sure what its draining but it looks nasty! I was able to get up and walk so the took the catheter out but my feet are tingling almost like the feeling you get when your foot falls asleep but I have feeling so the told me it is the nerves and spinal cord that is inflamed and that is the reason for the tingling.

I've heard good things about Hackley.  Follow orders, rest, and recuperate.  Better to be patient now, then get ahead of yourself and make things worse.

Hopefully I can get out of this hospital tomorrow. The pain is going down a little. One bonus is I had a beautiful nurse last night  another bonus of forged in fire all day

I'm taking it easy for quite some time.and even when I feel better I'm still only going to do is stock removal blades to practice my grinding skills. Once finally healed most of my work will be press and power hammer work.

Here is the scar...I will get pictures of the x-rays in a couple weeks. I should have gotten a picture of the last ones.....it looks wicked.Resized_20181111_153140.jpeg

There is another smaller scar under this one from my first surgery when I was 17 years old.

I almost didn't post this picture but who cares. In this picture you can see the older scar just to the left and in the middle of the big scar.Resized_20181111_154029.jpeg
