LukeS
So far I have been trying to decide what to make and I am at an impass between a friction folder or a fixed blade. At this point im thinking of doing both and seeing which turns out better. The fixed blade design I have so far would be small, with a flat sheath that would fit into a pocket. Forgive my rough drawings here.
JASON VOLKERT
That's a decent looking edc. I am also trying to figure out what to make. Have you made any drawings of the friction folder you were thinking about

Joshua States
That design is very close to what was (for many years) my "Standard Hunter" I made these in 3 different sizes. I called them the elk skinners. Bull Skinner, Cow Skinner, Calf Skinner 1 “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.” The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing. Brian Dougherty
Nice. The wooden mock-up will probably save you some headaches. -Brian

LukeS
Well I ran into some issues with the folder design and changed course to a fixed blade. Here is a pic from the shop tonight of the fixed blade with ivory micarta scales. I hope to eventually finish the folder, but it won’t be before the kith deadline
LukeS
Terrible pics I snapped as I finished this knife right before work today. But here she is! The one scale cracked when I attached it but I stabilized it and it is also attached to the several layers of spacers. Thoughts? Critiques? All are welcome by this humble smith! Charles dP
Managed to get to the post office yesterday after paying the government their share of this knife. Thanks Luke. Looks good and is nice and solid. What did you fill the crack with? I can’t feel it; it’s nice and smooth. 1 "The way we win matters" (Ender Wiggins) Orson Scott Card Nos, qui libertate donati sumus, nes cimus quid constet. LukeS
Thanks Charles! Glad you like it and it finally made it across the pond! And i filled it with fiberglass resin and then sanded everything flush again!
