Possible anvil goldmine

Recommended Posts

Billy Joe in Toledo, WA has literally a barn full of anvils, along with piles of post vises. I got my Hay-Budden from him.

Talked to Billy Joe, set up to go visit him and realized that I have not been paid yet, so that is probably not going to work out., I still am debating driving down to just take a look, but gas prices would be killer. Plus shipping to SC looks like it is going to run me out of at least $240, thanks for the lead, definitely worth looking into for anyone based in Washington.

So just as a follow up, I did pay a visit to Osteen's. He does still have anvils, post vices, tongs, and other blacksmith tools, he even has hand crank drill presses, and wood stoves. He also has blacksmith coal, pea sized bituminous coal. When I was there is was $12 for a 40lbs bag so I got two. I will be going back to get more soon! I highly recommend paying a visit if you are ever in the area, really cool place! I ended up getting a pretty good deal on this vice:
