Alveprins
Let me present Roðinn Hrafn - the Red or "Bloodstained Raven". Blade in folded and twisted railroad steel, in a san-mai lamination with Øberg steel for the core. Handle in stabilized Maple, with Holly for the core, copper, brass and vulcanized fiber. The Holly is engraved with Elder Futhark runes - written in old Norse - and filled with ashes. Any and all critique, is ... as always - most welcome. :) Sincerely, Alveprins.
Alex Middleton
Now that's a gorgeous knife! I've never been a fan of mixing copper and brass on the same handle, but you pulled it off beautifully on that one.

Joël Mercier
Astounding! It looks like a Roman leather cuirass! Your handle sculpting just keeps getting better and better and it was already great.

Alveprins
Thank you for the kind words everyone. Yeah, I've taken a liking to sculpting my handles a bit more than I've done previously, and I am planning on going a bit more "all out" on the next one.

Doug Lester
A superb job on the blade. I take it that's it a stick tang framed by the Holly wood. I'm a little afraid to ask about the ashes. The runes are engraved and filled with a mixture of ashes from the burnt remains of my enemies, and slow curing epoxy. Joshua States
Just saw this one. Looking great man. 1 “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. Wes Detrick
Beautiful handle sculpting... just an all around attractive knife. “In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer." -Albert Camus http://www.krakenforge.net/
