Joël Mercier
A commission I took my sweet time to complete. I believe it's my best work to date. First one has a 7.375" W2 blade with hamon, 416 bolster and walnut handle. Second is 4" 1095, 416 and walnut. Critique is welcome! Hamons are darn hard to shoot properly...
Mike Ward
Wow! Those are amazing, taking your sweet time really works. That walnut is perfect. One question though, how wide do you typically make you handles at the bolster? Looking from the side that is.
Conner Michaux
Gorgeous knives! I love the bolster on the W2 blade. And I like the slim handle on the petty...that’s a petty right?
MikeDT
Beautiful work! I like the geometry on the bolsters. The fit is perfect. Well done!

I usually go for around 7/8" wide at bolster on large blades and 3/4" on smaller ones. 15 minutes ago, Conner Michaux said: Gorgeous knives! I love the bolster on the W2 blade. Petty knives are usually wider at heel I believe. 16 minutes ago, MikeDT said: Beautiful work! I like the geometry on the bolsters. The fit is perfect. Well done! Thanks Mike! Pieter-Paul Derks
Those are fantastic knives! I love the bolsters, I like how the hexagonal handle has clean lines but still looks soft and comfortable http://mefecit.nl/

Robert D.
I really like both of those, the blades are great, but those handles and bolsters are outstanding. http://robertjamescustoms.tumblr.com/

Brian Dougherty
Nice work Joël! Both are great, but that first one really speaks to me. The subtle geometry of the bolster and handle is fantastic. That is some top shelf work. edit:Ha, Charles and I responded at the same time with the same "Top shelf" thought. That should tell you something! Edited April 12, 2019 by Brian Dougherty -Brian
