Chris Christenberry
For most any hobby, there seems to be a consensus as to a special book that seems to answer most of the questions beginners tend to ask. So is there a Knife making bible????? Chris www.chrischristenberry.com WHEW!!! If I could only know now what I "thought" I knew back then.................... Joshua States
Ask any two knife makers a question and you will get three answers. Each one of them will tell you how they do it, and then they will discuss it and come up with at least a third way that uses parts of the first two answers. There are lots of books out there, and even more magazine articles, videos and everything else in this world of digital information. Many of us started with Jim Hrisoulas's books or Wayne Goddard's, but those have become a little dated. Still a good basis for the craft by all means. I think this forum is about the best resource you can find for dependable information. The pinned topics are worth reading several times. Check out this thread for books & video recommendations. “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.” The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing. Chris Christenberry
Thanks. I was just trying not to wear everyone out with newbie questions. I'm going to have tons of them. Thought it might be helpful if I at least had a rudimentary understanding of this process before covering all you guys up questions you've probably answered a million times. Thanks for the link. I'll start studying. Chris www.chrischristenberry.com WHEW!!! If I could only know now what I "thought" I knew back then....................
