Most recent knife. Custom chefs knife. 

1080 steel, 60 Rockwell. 

Ironwood scales, bronze bolsters, and SS pins.

Looks like it will balance nicely.  What wood is the handle?  It goes well with the brass.

It's Ironwood of some variety. I have a large block of it that I was given several years ago.  Looks very nice.

I made myself a kitchen knife with a narrow handle something like that and I have found it a little hard to control.  If I ever get around to replacing it I'm definitely going to go a bit wider on the handle.  My recommendation would to work the heck out of it and see how it feels.
