That is outstanding for the first blade completed.  I've broken a few in the quench myself.  Don't feel bad about it just try to figure out where it went wrong.

First forged knife.... but I assume not your FIRST KNIFE. Because thats wayyyy too clean for a first try haha

You must be a farrier or something,,,,,,, fit and finish is so nice and clean.,,,, You are way ahead of the game.

It's my second knife. I think that other skills in blacksmithing help with fit and finish on a knife. And also advise from my dad who makes jewelry and is a fit and finish pro haha. I'm just a 15 year old trying to do the best work I can.

And that's how you make dozens of grown men feel incredibly inadequate.  :D

Seriously though, keep up the good work.  If you're able to produce that type of quality of work at 15 years old, you have a bright future ahead of you.

Very impressive for someone at that stage of life.  It tells me that you are uncommonly able to control your urge to "Get the project done".  Keep that up and you'll go a long way with everything in life, not just knifemaking.

It also tells me your parents are doing something right.

Stay with it, and please keep sharing.
