Star Drills, what type of steel?

I've got three or four large star drills that are relatively old, being the fact that they are star drills and are made for stone i would assume that they are very high carbon.

But are they to hard to make a knife out of?

I will spark test and ill send some pictures also, any and all feed back is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hard to say what is in there. That being said my guess is a straight carbon steel with about 1 to 1.2 points of carbon.
