Jeweling?

Recommended Posts

Anybody got some good tips on tools and materials? Someone told me a wooden dowel and heavy buffing compound. While I got half decent results it's not as good as I want.

Thanks DanM, I saw those, but I would like something that I can use over and over. Those wear away fairly quickly from what I've seen to keep fresh grit exposed. After a bit more research, over and over I see taking a piece of leather and gluing that to a wooden down, grain side down with an abrasive compound. Using the leather keeps a good contact with the metal and won't wear away as easy as a piece of wood.
