justin carnecchia
Hi, somehow I think another year has gone by since my last post. Knife making kind of comes in waves for me, so I’m just gonna enjoy it while I can. Here a couple of recent ones. a brute de forge/ bushcraft. First forge finish I’ve done.. a high layer w’s tanto. Not getting a great reception so far.. probably gonna lose or change the wrap. I like it but I seem to be the only one who does... and a w2 wa-gyuto. Pretty standard gyuto. First time I’ve done a three wood handle though.. Really liking the deeper heel on it. Was very tempted to keep this one for myself. might do this in a couple posts... Joshua States
Welcome back Justin. I was just wondering the other day where you had gotten to. Looks like you've been motoring along. I really like that little tanto. That's a really tight pattern. “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.” The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing. Gerhard Gerber
Great knives all, but that tanto (?) with the blue handle wrap really does it for me......
clint c
Beautiful work Justin! Your hamons are very nice and i really like the lines on all of them. I am with the “loose the blue wrap” crowd though! Excellent stuff. Clint

Kevin Colwell
Justin, I was really struck by the hamon on the first one. I liked that one the most, though they are all very nice. I just dig the contrast between hamon and polish with the forged spine. please visit my website http://www.professorsforge.com/ “Years ago I recognized my kinship with all living things, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on the earth. I said then and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it; while there is a criminal element, I am of it; while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.” E. V.
