Pair of spurs made for a reconstructor (not to be used for horses). Made of mild steel. First attempt to make...

Jacek ... amazing work! I have no clue how you managed to make the “pepple” grain surface on the round stem below the point! Obviously that has my attention and mind rolling!

I've been thinking about how to do this too.  The only thing I can come up with is an electric welder, or drilled and tapped holes with bolts that were ground/forged to shape after insalling?

Sorry for late reply.

I have drilled holes and silver soldered earlier prepared 'pepple' :)

 

i hope this make sense.

Superb work and I really appreciate you sharing. The concept could help me somewhere in the future on a design I think!
