Knife Engineering  steel, heat treating and geometry by Larrin Thomas. Very familiar name if you have been to knife steel nerds.com. I got this book a couple days ago to learn more about different steels and heat treating. It is a well written and detailed. I’ve read a few chapters while skimming through the whole book. I think this is going to be a read, read again and read another time and use for reference. I have a lot to learn and this is a good book to do that.  I believe it is only available on Amazon

I got mine earlier in the week.  It's a good read and I'm glad I bought it.

His new book The Story of Knife Steel is very good!   Not just the history of steel but history of and interviews with many talented knife makers.  Fascinating read!
