For what it's worth, I think the coolest KITH ever was the one where you had to make a functional/beautiful blade with nothing but stuff you could buy at a local, generic hardware store. I think the best challenges come with somewhat arbitrary constraints.

Looks like the 1 cubic inch of starting stock it is!  I'm looking forward to getting started.  As a somewhat arbitrary deadline, I'll throw out October 1st.  That should give enough time to actually be done by the end of the year.:D

2x2x1/4, 1x3/8x2-5/8, 2x1x1/2 anything that makes 1 cubic inch of volume.
