Simply stunning!  Amazing that we sometimes forget, or take for granted, that things like this are around us and we just don't take notice.

Are you pitching for a job at Tourism New Zealand ? ^_^

No just proud of the wide ranging beauty of my country. There may even be a few from your neck of the woods within the mix (maybe:))

Garry, you are fortunate to live in such a land with so much variety in land. I really enjoyed seeing these as I’ve traveled a lot of the world when I worked but never NZ or Australia. We have gorgeous landscapes here as well but on a larger chunk of dirt!

I can only look and think all this to see & enjoy .......from God above!

I am convnced that there is beauty in every land that God Created, it is just the New Zealand has such a wide range of land types in our small country from fiords, coastal plains and sea scapes to Alpine passes into and over mountain for skiing and hunting, with deserts to river georges for white water travel and lakes to native forrest and exotic growths with green rolling hill country from the south to the steep valleys in the north to the rocky lanscapes round central Otago. It is often said that any landscape any where in the world can be found in New Zealand in smaller scale but for those touring here it can all be seen in the one country and at the risk of offending @MacKINNON the majority of it is on the mainland of the South Island

Right now, the view is less inviting.

Just waiting for the start of a week of rain.

Going to be a rough week all round but winter has arrived.

When my oldest nephew's first marriage went south he took two weeks leave from the Army and traveled in both islands.  He said it was some of the most stunning scenery that he had ever seen.
