Alex Middleton
Looks like the deadline has come and gone. Post your entries here so we can get a list of names for the venerable Dr. to be able to draw from. If anybody to could use an extension to finish up a work in progress, this would be a good place for that too. Here's mine!

Anyone want to volunteer to contact the ones who have not yet responded to this thread? I'd hate to leave anyone out, like I did last year (still sorry, Geoff!) Geoff Keyes
There is some very fine work displayed this time around. I can't wait to see what comes! Alan Longmire
So, the October 1 "deadline" has come and gone, leaving that whooshing sound we all love. We have 8 completed entries, and as of tomorrow it will be ten days post-deadline. Are we to assume that all who are participating have posted to this thread? Anybody heard from Conner Micheaux? I haven't seen the other guys around in awhile, and I think Robert D lost his shop over the summer, so Conner is the only one I was thinking may still be in who hasn't posted. How do y'all feel about waiting until Monday at 5:30 Eastern/ 21:30 GMT for the drawing? Last chance to poke the other guys...
Alex Middleton
Sounds good to me Alan. I'll send @Conner Michauxa DM and see if he's planning anything. As it is the 8 entries are all that we have WIP threads for. Unless @Joshua States wants to throw his little Ulu into the mix.......... Joshua States
You like that little ulu huh @Alex Middleton? You know it's kind of funny. When Mat P and I were discussing this idea about 2 years ago, I kind of went on this kick of finding scraps of steel around the shop and trying to forge a knife out of them. I probably did 5 or 6 of them and that Ulu was the last one. Sorry Alex, but I really like that one and I'm keeping it for my leather working. Not to brag, but more of an encouragement for the newer smiths who may not realize how a small piece of steel can go a long way, and people will buy them. This one sold at Blade Show. This one sold off my Etsy store I still have a very similar one to that bird & trout, just in stabilized box elder. This was the first one I did. It was part of a larger set of knives. The WIP on this is in A Tale of Six Blades. It started with a piece of 1x3/16 1095 about 4 inches long. If the other entrants want it in the KITH, I'll enter it. Alex Middleton
I was just throwing it out there for fun. I didn't figure that you'd put it up for the KITH. Those are all beautiful blades BTW.
Bruno
Hey Guys, Unfortunately, I'm gonna miss out on this one this time. Shop time has been scarce and life has been busy this year. Have not even posted in a while. Beautiful entries this year, and I'd be pleased with any one of those blades. Great Job Gents.
Conner Michaux
Sorry y’all, I’m gonna miss out as well haven’t been able to make knives almost at all this year so far. Hopefully that will change soon! Edited October 10, 2021 by Conner Michaux
