Gazz 22
Went to a particularly large and very interesting estate sale both Friday and Sunday and bought a bunch of stuff. I found this file there and of all my years going through jewelers tool, machinist tools and gunsmithing supply catalogs, I do not ever recall seeing one. I believe it is for draw filing and does have a slight bow to it. It is a Baiter Swiss made tool and aside from the bits of aluminum stuck to (which did pick off easily) it looks unused. I regret not buying the box of file handles! Has anyone else seen these before? Maybe more common in Europe?
Alan Longmire 3,881
It is a dedicated draw file. I have only seen one before, and that because another forum member found a few of them a couple of years ago and sent me one.
Rob Davis 10
I saw a picture of one in an estate sale about a month ago. I think I broke light speed trying to get to that house, but sadly it was already gone.
Gazz 22
The previous owner seemed to buy everything in multiples and I dug through every box in the sale hoping to find a case of them.
