Big Bill 2
A very reputable knifemaker passed away. (Alfred William) Bill Amoureux, 84 of Northport Washington and formerly from Anchorage, AK passed away Dec. 2 2021 in Kingman, Arizona from natural causes. He made knives under the Alstar trademark. Bill started making knives in his 20's and then honed his skills working with Gil Hibben in Alaska in the late 60's and early 70's. He specialized in practical hunting knives, working with stock removal methods. For the past 2 decades he has been producing practical knives for Navy Seals that would come to his shop in Washington each spring. Luckily he passed his knowledge on to many people over the years. He will be missed.

Alan Longmire 3,682
I did not know of him, but his work speaks for itself. It's sad every time we lose another one of the old guard.
