This is a difficult choice. I'm gonna think about this one for a bit

Any restrictions on a "small seax"?  Size or construction?

To me, "small seax" implies a blade length no great than about 8 inches / 200mm or so.  An EDC size rather than a battle size.

But I am open to suggestions. KITH is yours to play with, I don't make rules. B)

Blade size always causes some trouble for folks who live in areas with knife laws. Even though here in the States those places are getting rarer, some of the Euro-makers may have some problems.

Alex

Now that we've decided on shop tools can I put in a short wish list for what I need?  Maybe someone will take pity on me and I can pay it forward to someone else on the list.  Just saying that not everyone has a machine shop.  I personally would like to ask Santa for guillotine dies for a Cloverdale guillotine.  Next on my list would be machine lathed pommel nuts or a center scribe for marking blade edges.   In return I  could hand forge dividers, Kiridashi or bladesmith tongs.

Feel free to kick me off the island.

Alex and Alan, thank you for putting this together this year. I enjoy doing Kith and participated every year I could. This year I am struggling to decide, as I began working full time again and the job involves travel assignments. So I am not sure of “free-time” yet.

When does the sign-up period end?

That is great Alex.
All Right!!
That will give me plenty of time to see how this new position works out.

Thanks,

I enjoy the KITH very much as well.  My biggest problem right now is figuring out  which idea i want to build.  As far as I'm concerned, the last day to sign up is the day before the drawing!:D

I remember a KITH one year where someone signed up late, never posted a finished piece, and never sent one to the chosen recipient.
