Joshua States 2,573
I haven't posted much stuff here lately, and that's because I have been working on one knife since February and the design elements have given me a lot of .....experience. This is built to the customer's specifications and contains many things I typically do not do, but c'est la vie. It is finally ready to show and I'll start making the sheath on Wednesday. The blade is O1 and about 5.375" long. The ring guard is a single piece of 416 SS forged to shape from a 1/2" slice (maybe 3/4"?) of round bar 1.5" in diameter. Frame and pommel cap are 410 SS and the turned finial nut is 416 SS. There is no glue holding this knife together. It is all held together with mechanical connections and can be fully disassembled. There is a video coming of how it goes together. I've been there before.” The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing. Larry Okinaka 11
Maybe out of your wheelhouse so to speak, but looks really good
Gerhard Gerber 482
Nailed it Josh, that pommel cap is probably my favourite element on a stunning knife.
Alan Longmire 3,887
I was wondering when we'd see what that guard went on. Experience is good!

Don Abbott 357
Remarkable. Very well done.
Joshua States 2,573
I made the sheath, also the cutomer's design. He wanted a cross draw that rode high at an angle. The concho matches the ones on his saddle. 3 “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. Joël Mercier 717
I'm not sure how to put it in words, but that knife just oozes confidence. A fine tool that won't let you down. Well done
