Charles dP
Hi guys. I was just watching this and thought that someone on this forum is bound to want to make some arrow heads. Here you go: "The way we win matters" (Ender Wiggins) Orson Scott Card Nos, qui libertate donati sumus, nes cimus quid constet.
Gerald Boggs
I found this video by Hector Cole to be quite useful in learning to forge a Bodkin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SmEAqaFIwI Edited July 12, 2022 by Gerald Boggs
Gerald Boggs www.geraldboggs.com
Alan Longmire
Pretty sure Will learned from Hector, but yeah, great video!
Gerald Boggs
I made a bunch after watching it, but never did get around to doing anything but giving them away. For those that know me, you understand that's almost a sin. Brian Dougherty
I was determined to get good at this when I first started blacksmithing. After doing about 25 of them I realized that I was still a long way off from being able to pay my annual taxes to king Henry and got discouraged. I never have made one that I would consider great. I should get back into trying, but this is the sort of thing that is easier with coal than gas in my opinion. I don't have a coal option anymore. -Brian
Jaro Petrina
Actually years ago the by far best arrowsmith around was Mark Stretton, my friend who also made a DVD forging medieval arrowheads - his process makes about the best socket there is.
