Iron John Logan
Late 18th century town sword I just finished up. Playing with a bunch of new techniques. Silver plated brass, enamelled maple burl, patina and age. Alan Longmire
I really like this one. You captured the look and feel perfectly. There's a similar one in the Museum of London with a green-dyed bone grip, fluted and wire-inlayed like that.
John Page
Beautiful! I agree with Alan, you totally nailed the feel of it. All the details and patina are wonderfully complementary. Doug Lester
Love the handle and guard. I can't imagine the process of enamaling wood. The sword makes you want to pick it up to see how it feels. Pieter-Paul Derks
So very nice, I would not be able to tell the difference between this and an original from the period http://mefecit.nl/
Jaron Martindale
WOW! It took me about 3 pictures to realize I Was looking at the product of your work, not the inspiration piece... Well Done!
Gary LT
Very nice! and I like the contrast of the pitted blade finish to the jeweled handle. Question how did you do the start/finish of the twisted wire? Trying to run some ides through my mind. Photos only show the elongated “V”. Francis Gastellu
What a beauty... Like Doug said, it really makes you want to pick it up an feel it in your own hand. I wish I could. Excellent work!
Joshua States
How did I miss this? Epic. What a fantastic job on that. “So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.” The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing.
