Joël Mercier
I wish I coulda kept this one. It's got a cocobolo handle with a copper bolster thingie. It was my first experiment with the Grobet checkering file, that thing works exceptionally well. 11.5" total with a feather weight of 4oz. Tell me what you think.
Hoy's Forge
The knife is a beauty, but other than the file work on the bolster I don't see any checkering ? Did I misunderstand ? www.hoyfamily.net Isa 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.Lu 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. Mr 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Joël Mercier
Thank you sir. In fact, that's just it. I never planned on doing any real checkering with the file .

Alan Longmire
I was wondering about the checkering myself, didn't see the reeded edge on the seppa on my phone. I have one of those files, and they are handy for all kinds of things!
