Haha!  Yeah, well... you have no idea how quickly the clock is ticking.  I'll disclose why in a very few weeks. ;)

Anywho... the knife holder is done... I have no pics of it, but I suppose there will be at some point. Right now I am working on finishing the sheath. I've finished the two long-sides, and I am currently working on finishing the tip on side B.

Here's a couple of pics from the "long-sides" of the sheath:

Sheath_LongSides.jpg

The frame of the sheath is in railroad steel, engraved and inlaid with 24kt gold.

The engravings read:

Side A: From the ashes of the past - Per periculum (through risk)

Side B: Future's flowers will grow - Per dolorem (through suffering)

And on that note, have a wonderful week everyone! :D

Alright, got something in the mail today - so decided to test the holder:

The electric motor will be hidden beneath a "stand" I will be making. The table will be flush with the surface of the holder.. if that makes any sense...

The motor is a bit wobbly though... irritates me - but modifying it will be way too risky and time consuming at this moment. Maybe I can pad it a bit - under the table - making the top spin a bit more smoothly...

Sweet!!!

because I am who I am, I'll say I hope the table top is a tile of explosion damascus...;)

Alright,

Besides working on the sheath and presentation box - I've also managed to finish the info -plaque that will go inside the presentation box:

April_Plaque.jpg

I've added a short video as still images of this doesn't really communicate all that much:

My apologies for the horrid lettering. At the moment this is the best I can do.

The plaque is in brass, engraved and oxidized, then polished. Also - I've set four 0,03ct white diamonds for those extra twinkles.

Alright, until the next one... Chiao!

Which is far better than most knife people can do block lettering!  I know I can't.

Your engraving looks better than my handwriting on paper ;)

All these extra books and plaques  you are adding really enhance this knife beyond the stars.

Alright, so it's 1st of May 2024 already.. and as some of you might already have surmised - I will be going on somewhat of a trip in a month time... ^_^

In that regard - there are far more things than the knife itself that needs to be created. Business cards, table cloth, flyers, signs... so - I thought I'd share the inside of the two-fold flyer I've designed and ordered to print:

Flyer_Preview.jpg

The flyers are relatively small, like A5 size - but I think this will do. :)

And now - to remove masking tape from the newly painted box, and polish that sucker..

Have a good Wednesday everyone!

If you're taking that to Atlanta next month, I suspect you'll go home with a few awards. B)  Lots of people make knives, you create an entire mythos for each piece!

While I am desperately trying to finish writing my book (Manufacturing Record Book for those of you who are in the manufacturing industry ) - I thought I'd take a short break to give a little glimpse into one of the very first chapters:

Book_Pages_Preview.jpg

I expect I shall be able to finish the entire book (9 chapters) by the end of this weekend... IF I stay diligent...

Alright, that's it.. back to work!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Alright, promo -material came in the mail! :D

I've ordered several things from print, business cards, promotional flyers etc. etc.

Well, business cards and flyers came in:

Flyer_Printed_Sneek_Peak.jpg

I cant say I'm super happy with the flyer quality though. The print is a bit.. grainy? And this despite my images being super high-rez. Anyhow, these will probably just be grabbed up by passers by and end up in the trash anyhow - so I suppose they will do. Single-use only.

It wouldn't be too much pressure if I pin this now, would it? :P

The pressure doesn't get much higher. I just finished printing my 70 page book, and now start the bookbinding process...

This is totally worthy of the pin.
