Last look at Shard and Quill

Iron John Logan

Recommended Posts

Last look at Shard and Quill a collaboration between Iron John and Copperrein. Intragal quillion dagger with 6 inch aged and patinaed blade. Handle is a gorgeous piece of ultra curly maple set at a bias to the grain with worm holes and fancy hand carved gadroon fluting. Hand rubbed oil finish over traditional aquafortis makes the slanted figure and curl sparkle down the flutes as turned in the hand. Folk art wire wrapping and door nailed tang brings the over the top maple down a notch to fit the aged blade. The sheath is an artwork in itself, hand constructed of multiple layers and decorated with sun faded porcupine quills in lanes and floral patterns.

Most excellent

“So I'm lightin' out for the territory, ahead of the scared and the weak and the mean spirited, because Aunt Sally is fixin’ to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I've been there before.”

The only bad experience is the one from which you learn nothing.
