Bob Ouellette
Looks great to me. From what I can see, the blade and handle look well done. You could stand with making the pic a bit bigger (but its not that important). lwrhea
Very nice! I like the chance to handle that one. Dont stop posting just because all is not perfect. The picture seems to show a very nice finish on your blade and I know thats tough to do on the larger blades. That osage is hard to work too. You are to be commended. Ron Hicks
Thanks Guys I wish you could see it in person. Can you see how the blade curves down ? It was dead straight before I harden it. I did it a little different - I read in a old book that the hotter the steel when quenched the harder it hardens. I heated to 1600 instead of 1550 and only heated my oil to 100. The hardening pulled the tip down a good 1/4 in. Ron
Don Hanson
Very nice bowie, I get that tip pull down sometimes on my long blades. Don Hanson lll My Webpage
Bob Ouellette
Very nice. I see what you're talking about with the tip dropping down. I had that happen with a seax that I'm working on. It still looks good, I like the osage. Bob O "When I raise my flashing sword, and my hand takes hold on judgment, I will take vengeance upon mine enemies, and I will repay those who haze me. P.Abrera
I quite like that tip drop, looks like it'll chop real nicely. Nice and neat all around!
