hi can anyone describe to me the process involved in making a wooden handle for a curved tang? I've done it several times for a straight tang and I was wondering if it was possible to avoid splitting the wood.

Hi its the same process lay the tang on the wood mark around it cut with a stanley knife (looking out for fingers ) then chisle out with care dont forget to allow more wood on the outside so you can carve the curve I use a band saw see picture hope this help's
