does this mean that this is the reply 101? woohoo! whatabout blackadder? anyone seen it?

Blackadder: Baldrick, what are you doing out there?

Baldrick: I'm carving something on this bullet sir.

Blackadder: What are you carving?

Baldrick: I'm carving "Baldrick", sir.

Blackadder: Why?

Baldrick: It's a cunning plan actually.

Blackadder: Of course it is.

Baldrick: You see, you know they say that somewhere there's a bullet

with your name on it?

Blackadder: Yes?

Baldrick: Well, I thought if I owned the bullet with my name on it,

I'd never get hit by it, 'cos I won't ever shoot myself.

Blackadder: Oh, shame.

Baldrick: And, the chances of there being two bullets with my name

on them are very small indeed.

Blackadder: That's not the only thing around here that's "very small

indeed". Your brain for example, is so minute, Baldrick,

that if a hungry cannibal cracked your head open there

wouldn't be enough inside to cover a small water-biscuit.

Yup, Blackadder (all four seasons/time periods) is right up there with the Pythons. Wish old Rowan had never thought of Mr. Bean, though; no fun there at all. :( My favorite part of the BBC series "Time Team" was the fact that it was hosted by Baldric! I kept waiting for him to announce a cunning plan, but he never did...

Tyler, you're just too young. All right-thinking English-speaking males of a certain age group can recite lines/songs/etc. from any Monty Python movie, album, or TV show with no hesitation for thought, as exposure to them creates an instant permanent record in your brain. And besides, we've seen 'em all at least 40 times. ;)

And thanks to Youtube we can relive the insanity and pain over and over again.

Obla dee, obla da.

I don't remember that being one of the songs Sir Robin's Minstrels sang.... perhaps you're thinking of this one.

Brave Sir Robin ran away.

Bravely ran away away.

When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled.

Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about

And gallantly he chickened out, bravely taking to his feet.

He beat a very brave retreat.

Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin.

Then, of course, there's the Firesign Theatre for those Yanks among us who are truly warped to a higher and more refined degree.

Murch is from Macon, GA. I moved to Tallahassee from Albany, GA. I understand Murch. It is hard to find English humor in Georgia and even harder to appreciate. But when we get it....we enjoy it! Ah, the 70's, I wish, so, that I could remember them. If you have a Blockbuster near you, or a decent public library, you might find most of Monty Python's trips through the video world of bizarre humour. Any Buckaroo Banzi devotees out there?

No Sam.....we don't exist. We are figments of the imaginations of slightly over-the-hill controlled substance abusers. Being over 50, it's hard to get my sons to believe me about the movies and songs of the 60s & 70s. They always think I'm making them up. Except, that is, for Buckaroo Banzai because I found it at a Movie Gallery and rented it. I grilled steak to lull them into a state of security and then it was too late. They received an education in humor.
