Al Massey
...A customer commissioned this as a retirement present for himself. It's a 6" blade, cocobolo grip and the pattern is random nickel steel/hi carbon damascus. He also did the photo work. Just to prove I do make the occasional non-sword type piece... Robert Mayo
Looks good to me Al it looks like a high layer count can you tell us more about the blade? Thanks for showing us. Bob
ScottB
Looks nice to me, Al... Ofcourse, we need a picture or 2 that shows the pattern better, since you always do such nice random pattern work.
Al Massey
Looks good to me Al it looks like a high layer count can you tell us more about the blade? Thanks for showing us. Bob It's got 2 90-layer sections on each side of a 15-layer edge core, so it's 195 layers.
neocryptica
Great job Al. I'd proudly carry something like that into the field! ----------------------------- "By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." - Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC)
